La forma delle parole

In this project, I explore the inevitable distance between a word that is thought and a word that is spoken.

Two different people, a man and a woman, photographed at separate times. With different limitations, freedoms, and emotional conditions — both interpreting the same word.
The man does not speak: his body holds everything in, the thought remains internal, mute, opaque. The woman instead pronounces it, whispers it: the word becomes gesture, surface, mark.

Each diptych represents a universal phenomenon: a word changes as soon as it leaves the mind and enters the perceptible world.

There is no symmetry, no imitation, no coordinated performance. There is only the natural gap between intention and realization, between the inner and the outer, between the private and the revealed.

It is within that gap that the project takes shape: the distance is the content.

 The difference is the truth.
